What's Planned?
The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is implementing a mandatory e-invoicing system to modernise tax compliance, reduce fraud, and ensure real-time invoice reporting across all businesses operating in the UAE.
From 1 July 2026, the UAE launches a pilot program for e-Invoicing, allowing early adopters to test systems and prepare for full compliance.

The mandate rollout begins on 1 January 2027 for large businesses (annual revenue ≥ AED 50 million), 1 July 2027 for smaller businesses (annual revenue < AED 50 million), and 1 October 2027 for government entities.

Organisations that fail to meet compliance deadlines will face financial penalties, operational disruptions, and potential restrictions on conducting business within the UAE. Early preparation is critical to ensuring a smooth transition.
